Dettaglio evento
A result of the collaboration between Venice Ca’ Foscari University and the Marciana National Library, this exhibition, rounding off the “MAT-MEDin Transit”project by Sabrina Minuzzi, deals with the theme of gardens that housed plants with medicinal virtues, widespread in the early Modern age.
The showcase, set up within the Monumental Rooms at the Marciana National Library until April 2, is based upon certain important documents such as the “Five books of plants” compiled by Pietro Antonio Michiel (1510-1576), virtuous examples on the use of ancient knowledge of medical matters, and an ancient board-game on the topic.
Open: 10.00am – 5.00pm – Ticket office at Correr Museum (closed 4 pm)
