JACQUES HENRI LARTIGUE | The invention of happiness

Until 10 January 2021.

Presented as the most extensive retrospective dedicated to this French photographer ever organised in Italy, this exhibition presents 120 pictures, 55 of which unpublished ones from the author’s personal albums.

Some archival materials are added to them, retracing his long career, from his debut in the early 1900s, up to the Eighties, reconstructing the history of this photographer (1894 – 1986) and his rediscovery, which occurred in 1963 thanks to an important solo exhibition presented at MoMa, the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

A catalogue published by Marsilio.
