Inauguration on Thursday 10 September. Open to the public from 11 September to 8 December.
An exhibition conceived by the Venice City Museums Foundation as a tribute to this master from Trentino on his hundredth anniversary, retracing an important moment within Ca’ Pesaro activities and a significant portion of Twentieth century art history, as well the artist’s key moments.
Together with Gino Rossi, Pio Semeghini and Tullio Garbari, Moggioli developed landscape painting at the dawn of the century, on one hand rediscovering atmospheres from the divisionist technique, on the other, the Pont-Aven masters’ stylistic suggestions.
The exhibition is opening while the museum halls are closed to the public due to the consistent damage caused by the exceptional tide of the past month of November.
