VENICE AND SAINT PETERSBURG

This exhibition, planned specifically for this venue in Mestre, the major Venetian cultural centre on the mainland, is documenting (until March 24)  the itineraries that led art from the Serene Republic to the famous Russian museum of the Hermitage, through pictures and drawings – some of them never displayed in Italy – highlighting fascinating collector and merchant figures.
Thus, paintings by great Veneto artists starting from the Sixteenth century, like Titian, Veronese, Tintoretto, Bellotto, Canaletto, Tiepolo and Guardi will be on display in an original, non-conventional circuit for this venue.

The exhibition curators are Irina Artemieva and Alberto Craievich.
