By curator Luca Massimo Barbero, this exhibition celebrates until 14 January 2019, sixty years from the demise (1894 – 1958) of this artist, one of the outstanding figures in the Italian artistic scenario of the first half of the Twentieth century. With over eighty artworks, the exhibition, set up at the venues of the famous Collection, displays that painting, initially figurative and subsequently wholly abstract, based on the composition of colours and signs, the latter a representation of strength, will, ideas and magic, arriving from his youthful canvases, made of landscapes of his land, to the work executed around the end of the ‘40s, with converging themes and styles proposing this artist as a protagonist of Italian and international modernism. Catalogue published by Marsilio Editore. Collections and temporary exhibitions opening hours from 10am to 6pm, with ticket-office closing at 5.30pm. Closed on Tuesday. Free guided tours to the exhibition every day at 3.30pm subject to purchasing the ticket to the museum. Tickets € 15.00, concessions (partners and over 65s) € 13.00.
