Mario Bellini for Murano

The exhibition, open until 3 March 2019, which has marked the debut of the international festival dedicated to glassmaking art, is presenting glasswork by Mario Bellini, a figure who left his mark on the history of international architecture and design thanks to an intense activity in the sector of industrial design.

The Venice City Museums Foundation is dedicating a major retrospective to this famous designer from Milan, perhaps the first exhibition expressly focused on his “searching in glass” and to his vast archive of glass projects. The public will thus be able to admire both vases, furniture tables, as well as innovative climabox solutions for art masterpieces, and unusual uses for glass on a large scale.

This exhibition planned by Mario Bellini is curated by Gabriella Belli and Chiara Squarcina.
