From 7 May to 29 September.

The Venice City Museums Foundation is presenting an exhibition in this Venetian museum, a temple to glass, on the opus of one of the great names of European design, Finnish Tapio Wirkkala (1915-1985).

Known for having embraced the use of the most diverse materials, from silver to plastic, from plywood to porcelain in his almost unlimited research, he is presented here for his work with glass, a material at the core of his activity since his debut. The showcase, by Finnish designer Harri Koskinen and Italian architect Marco Romanelli as curators, also includes some iconic projects employing other materials.
