Yun Hyong-keun | A retrospective

From 11 May to 24 November 2019.

By curator Kim Inhye, and organised in collaboration with the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) in Seoul, this exhibition is presented as the first European retrospective dedicated to this artist, who died in 2007, considered among the top ones in the second post-war Korean panorama.

Strongly connected with the troubled history of his country, where he was often jailed due to his thought and where he miraculously escaped the shooting squad, he lets his extraordinary sensitivity and love for a nature set down in its essential colours, the brown of earth and the blue of the sky, transpire in his work.
