Description
The ticket allows entry to the most impressive and valuable spiral staircase in Venice and to the Sala del Tintoretto where paintings, sculptures and applied art objects are exhibited.
Hidden inside a small courtyard, at the end of a narrow calle, on the side of Campo Manin, the Scala Contarini del Bovolo emerges in all its extraordinary elegance. It is one of the most unique examples of Venetian architecture in transition from the Gothic style, well rooted in local culture, to the Renaissance one. A series of superimposed loggias connects the various floors to the airy spiral staircase – in the Venetian dialect “bovolo” – inside a cylindrical tower pierced by ascending arches.
Reservation is required: Date to be selected on the calendar. The ticket is valid for a 30-minute visit on the chosen day and indicated in the voucher at 11.30
[access to the Scala every 30 minutes, maximum 35 people at a time].
