Located in Piazza San Marco, the Teatro La Fenice in Venice has left an indelible mark in the history of art and entertainment.
Since as far back as 1928, when Pietro Mascagni directed Ruggero Leoncavallo’s operas “Cavalleria Rusticana” and “Pagliacci,” the theater has captured the audience’s attention. Over the years, La Fenice has hosted a variety of performances, including prestigious productions by La Biennale di Venezia and unforgettable shows by artists such as Merce Cunningham, Maurice Béjart, and the renowned Bolshoi Ballet from Moscow.
Even rock icons like Paul McCartney and Sting have brought legendary nights to life here. In 2020 and 2022, the Piazza once again shone brightly with La Fenice, thanks to Fabio Luisi’s masterful performance of Carmina Burana.
This year, fortunate spectators will have the opportunity to witness unforgettable moments, starting with Laura Pausini’s concerts, followed by the magnificent Ninth Symphony by Beethoven, conducted by Juraj Valčuha.
Lastly, Paolo Conte, the beloved Italian singer-songwriter, will conclude the event with his new production, following his tremendous success at Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
These unique performances will forever be etched in the memories of those privileged enough to attend, confirming Piazza San Marco as the “most beautiful drawing room in the world.”
