Gran Ballo dei Conti | Carnival! Magic and tradition in Venice

Saturday 15th February Come and discover Venice in her full Carnival pomp. Be dazzled by the mystery and panache of the most celebrated event in the world, a timeless tradition that never ceases to amaze, year after year. Admire the vivid, flamboyant masks amid the city’s glinting canals and quiet calli, and take part in the sumptuous Great Baglioni Party masked ball on Saturday 15th February at the historic residence of the Baglioni Hotel Luna. A mere hop and a skip from St Mark’s, the Baglioni Hotel Luna is ready to induct you into the magnificence of the Carnival tradition. Throughout the Carnival season, you can hire and buy period costumes made of prized fabrics and lose yourself among the papier-mâché masks and accessories at the prestigious Atelier La Bauta. Then don your period costume and join the Great Baglioni Party. Exclusive Bellini and Rossini cocktails with typical Venetian canapés offer an exquisite prelude to the dancing in the splendid Fireplace Room. The evening continues in the elegant surroundings of the Marco Polo Ballroom, an artistic gem with original 18th-century frescoes by the Tiepolo school. Our professional dancers will step you through the minuet, the typical dance of the French baroque courts, for a Carnival in true Venetian style. Delight in the delicacies created by our Chef in a sophisticated dinner, then dance the rest of the night away to the tunes from our international covers band. Join us for what promises to be one exhilarating, unforgettable evening.
